Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Pina opens with a fragrant black currant bouquet with hints of black cherry and oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a ripe black raspberry and currant blend with notes of licorice, black pepper and oak. I also picked up some minerality and stewed plum mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins stick around for quite a while. This Cab would pair well with braised short ribs.
