Wine Review: This fresh and enticing Italian Pinot Grigio is a sparkling medium straw color and has a very fragrant bouquet of banana, cucumber, river stone and pineapple. On the palate it has a very supple and round mouthfeel, is dry, balanced and nicely layered, with moderate acidity and a medium body. Along with its pronounced minerality, I found flavors of green apple and Bartlett pear, with notes of lemon and gooseberry. The flavors linger for quite a while in the finish. It would go nicely with grilled halibut and Italian bread salad. – Mark
Winemaker Notes: Color: bright straw yellow with shades of amber.
Aroma: floral, fruity, with delicate notes of acacia blossoms, banana, and pineapple.
Taste: in the mouth it is dry with excellent body, balanced with an elegant aromatic varietal finish.
Pairing: pleasing as an aperitif, it complements seafood appetizers and grilled fish dishes. It is wonderful with white meats served with sweet, flavored sauces.
