Wine Review: This Italian, Friuli DOC, Pinot Grigo is very clean and refreshing. Pale straw colored, it has a shy bouquet of honeysuckle, Bartlett pear and pineapple. On the palate, it is medium-minus bodied with crisp plus acidity and good balance. The flavors are a blend of pineapple, spiced pear, and saline. The finish is dry and lasts quite a while. It would pair well with grilled fish tacos – Mark
Winemaker Notes: Color: Straw yellow, with light amber tinges.
Aroma: Fruity and floral, with notes of banana, pineapple, and wisteria blossoms.
Taste: In the mouth it is dry with a great body and balance.
Pairing: Pairing it with fish dishes is a classic, but it is lovely with risottos and vegetable soups, and goes well with light white-meat dishes and delicately flavored cheeses.
