Wine Review: This medium ruby colored Beaujolais from the Fleurie commune opens with a red cherry and watermelon candy bouquet with hints of cinnamon and peonies flowers. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth and soft. The flavor profile is earthy minerality and gentle tart strawberry blend with hints of green tea, lime, dried herbs and cinnamon stick. The finish is dry and its flavors and well-managed supple tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this Beaujolais with a honey crusted ham or a three-meat Bolognese. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Color: Shiny crimson with deep purple tints.
Nose: Delicate and floral, fully blown rose, peony, violet.
Mouth: The silky Poncié tannins give suppleness, delicacy and elegance. Really flavorful. over and above red fruit, you will find notes of toast and undergrowth with an end that is often peppery.
Pairing: This cuvée is a great partner to a wide range of dishes. All terrines, perfect with delicate white meat.
