Wine Review: This light gold colored Soave from Pieropan is very good. It opens with a fragrant quince and lime bouquet with a hint of chamomile tea. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a mineral infused green apple and yellow grapefruit blend with notes of lemon. I also detected hints of chamomile tea, peach pit and almond mixed in as well. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this nice Soave with coconut shrimp. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2017 Soave Classico tells the story of this incredible region and innovative family. A brilliant straw-yellow hue, the wine opens with a delicate nose reminiscent of almond blossoms, marzipan and flint. On the smooth, deep palate, notes of lemon curd, white peach and honeysuckle mingle with hints of crisp minerality. Superbly balanced, the lingering finish concludes with a zingy acidity that enhances the wine's long length.
