Wine Review: This medium purple colored Pinot Noir from Chassagne-Montrachet is interesting! It opens with a black cherry and cedar bouquet hints of forest floor, sandalwood, and violets. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, really smooth, and savory. The flavor profile is a tasty red raspberry tea and slightly tart cherry blend with notes of mild stony minerality teaberry, and mushrooms. We also detected hints of rhubarb, mulberry and green tea. The finish is dry, and its moderate dusty tannins are nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would pair this Pinot from Philippe Colin with seared ahi tuna. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Elegant floral and red fruit scents serve as a prelude to gentle but dominant flavors for the grippy palate. With incredible structure and smooth tone, the wine’s finish graces a tinge of violet on the smooth tannins.
