Wine Review: This ruby colored Pinot Noir from Philippe Colin opens with a black raspberry tea bouquet with hints of black cherry and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is round, juicy, and bright. The flavor profile is a red raspberry and herbal tea blend with notes of red currant and cinnamon. I also detected hints of rhubarb and loam. The finish is dry, and its flavors and acidity linger for quite some time. I would pair this reasonably priced Pinot from Burgundy with steak frites. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: An enticing blend of spices, strawberries and mushroom, this Bourgogne Pinot Noir soundly synthesizes essences of fruit and earth, cultivating round and clean flavors for the palate. Plentiful red fruit, a solid acidic structure and finely knit tannins run through this wine, motivating a fresh and sleek finish.
