Wine Review: This light golden straw-colored Chardonnay is from 50% Chassagne-Montrachet and 50% Saint-Aubin. It opens with an inviting citrus bouquet that includes pineapples with vanilla and floral notes. The light to medium bodied palate is smooth and slightly creamy, yet still a bit crisp. The flavor profile features light peaches and citrus fruits leading with pineapple. I also detected hints of vanilla and oak. I enjoyed the nicely integrated and balanced acidity and minerality. The pleasant finish is juicy with coconut notes appearing. I would pair this very nice French Chardonnay with pan-seared halibut with a lemon caper sauce. - Joe
Winemaker Notes: Bright, crisp aromas and flavors of ripe apple, melon and citrus enchant in this pleasing Chardonnay that is both balanced and elegant. The palate has an underlying mineral edge and whispers of vanilla and butterscotch that leave a lasting impression.
