Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay from Saint Aubin opens with mild apple bouquet with a hint of hickory. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe Bosc pear with nicely integrated minerality. I also detected hints of oak and a touch of tangerine and lemon. The finish is dry and fades away nicely. I would pair this very nice Chard with grilled weisswurst. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Les Combes is a seamless union between delicacy and richness that is comparable to its neighbor, the Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Chenevottes. Waxy and bright, flavors of white peach, apricot, pear and toasted vanilla emerge on both the nose and palate. A beautiful oak integration results in a hint of butter and a distinctive nutty character on the stunning finish.
