Wine Review: If you want to try something different, try this ruby colored Schiava from Alto Adige. It opens with a blackberry, cedar, and violet bouquet with a hint of rhubarb. On the palate, it is light bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and juicy. The flavor profile is a blue raspberry freeze pop and black plum blend with notes of mild loam and strawberry. I also detected some hints of rhubarb. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Schiava "Ski-ah-va" with spicy grilled shrimp skewers. Enjoy – Ken
