Wine Review: This very dark ruby and slightly opaque red blend from Gigondas opens with a blackberry jam and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, nicely balanced, and easy to enjoy. The flavor profile is a mild mineral infused mild blueberry with hints of black cherry. I also detected some faint oak and Earl Grey in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors and mild tannins fade away nicely. This wine is built for food. It would pair well with many foods, but especially Theresa’s homemade meatloaf. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Color: Bright ruby red with purple undertones Nose: Cherries, thyme, blackberries Mouth: Round and full-bodied with elegant tannins and great balance. Serve with a veal chop with morels or crispy lamb roast.
