Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored red wine blend from the Rhone opens with a mild black cherry cola bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, nicely balanced, smooth and very quaffable. The flavor profile is a pleasant cherry with hints of gentle plum and mild oak. There are some moderate and sticky tannins towards the end that give it a little grip. This wine is extremely food friendly and would be a crowd pleaser. I would serve it with Angus beef sliders with a little barbecue sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Tasting: Dark ruby color, with purple reflections. Intense nose of macerated cherries and licorice In the mouth the wine is full-bodied with a generous attack, a pleasant freshness and elegant tannins. This well-balanced wine shows a typical expression of southern Rhône wine with thyme and rosemary aftertaste.
