Wine Review: Are you looking for an everyday red you can leave around for a while? Try this Cab in the Big Green Box. It is pretty Good. It is slightly opaque and dark purple colored. It opens with a black cherry and oak bouquet. On the palate, it is medium bodied, balanced, and soft. The flavor profile is an oak influenced red raspberry with hints of black cherry. I commented that I thought it reminded me more of a Chianti than a Cab. The finish is dry and its mild oaky tannins linger slightly. This is a nice wine to have with a burger or meatball sub. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark ruby color with a nose full of raspberries, cedar, and subtle savory herbs. After the inviting nose entices you to take a sip, you will experience the flavors of rich blackberry cobbler, fresh raspberry jam, and caramel oak tones with integrated hints of basil and fresh figs. Enjoy during the work week with a great burger and steak fries.
