Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Merlot from Washington State was well received by the panel. It opens with a fragrant cherry pie bouquet with hints of cola, oak and dark chocolate. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, soft, silky and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry with notes of oak and rhubarb. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger for a little while. The panel suggested pairing this Merlot with roast duck. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This Merlot has a terrific presence featuring deep, bright flavors of cherry, blueberry and cassis shaded with an intriguing hint of roasted coffee, allspice, bay leaf and graphite. Its rich layers and velvety texture satiate the palate with complex flavors of spicy ripe red and black fruits and dusty earth, wrapped around gentle tannins.
