Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from Penner Ash opens with a fragrant black raspberry and clove bouquet with hints of teaberry. On the palate, this wine is just medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and slightly zesty. The flavor profile is a tasty mild blueberry and loam blend with notes of black cherry and herbal tea. I also detected hints of red licorice, spice, and stone dust. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity are nicely extended. I would pair this very good Pinot with coq au vin. Enjoy – Ken, Karen & Stuart
Winemaker Notes: Aromas of spiced raspberries and ripe Hood strawberries gently fold into warm vanilla oak. Rainier cherry and cocoa provide a savory sweetness and weight on the palate leading to a lengthy finish.
