Wine Review: This bright white gold colored Viognier from Oregon opens with a musty lime zest and herb bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, slightly acidic, delicate and fresh with a very nice mouthfeel. The flavor profile is mineral influenced nectarine pit and almond blend with notes of green tea. I also detected hints of lime tart towards the end. The finish is dry, and its acidity and flavors linger for a while. This Viognier would pair well with oyster on the half shell. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: On the nose, the 2018 Viognier has aromas of honeysuckle, jasmine, peach and mandarin. The wine enters the palette with a dense and creamy texture, followed by a crisp green apple flavor with exotic white flowers on the finish.
