Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Australia opens with a spearmint and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slight acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a red currant and plum blend with notes of with hints of mild pomegranate and thyme. The finish dry and its flavors drift away nicely. This Cab is very food friendly and would pair well with grilled Italian sweet sausage sandwich. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Vibrant aromas of dark berries and black fruits, blackberry, mulberry, plum and a touch of licorice. Subtle floral notes intertwine with the dark core of fruit. Subtle hints of smoky oak add complexity and savory notes. The palate is medium bodied with fine grained tannins. Succulent acidity adds lift and freshness to the dense brooding fruit. This is a complete and harmonious wine with great persistence of flavor. Ready to drink now or for enjoying the rewards of cellaring for the next 5-7 years.
