Wine Review: This dark red Shiraz opens with a musty mild black cherry and strawberry rhubarb bouquet with hints of toasted oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and easy going. The flavor profile is a mild oak infused red raspberry and black cherry blend. We also detected a touch of black pepper and mild blueberry. The finish is dry and its tannins are dusty. The panel suggested pairing this Shiraz with jambalaya and spicy seasoned Maryland crab cakes. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep red in color with a faint purple hue. Fresh black cherry and blueberries are evident on the nose, with nuances of smoke, vanillin, mocha and chocolate. The youthful palate has a tight structure with good natural acidity. Still, even at this young age the palate is quite fleshy, with a diverse flavor profile of berries, black olives, spice and smokey oak. The young tannins are dry, but will soften with age and become more opulent over time.
