Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from down under opens with fragrant black currant and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, balanced and very smooth. The flavor profile is a flinty mineral infused blackberry and black currant blend with notes of oak and black tea mixed in. The finish is dry and its flavors and moderate fine tannins drift away nicely. This Cab is food friendly and would pair well with beef bourguignon in the near term. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: A bouquet of dark, berried, inky fruit with plenty of saw dusty/smoky oak. Vibrant flavors of fresh black currant and cassis are complemented by bay leaf and toasted oak on the palate. The tannins are well-integrated and fine-grained. Ready to drink now or for enjoying the rewards of cellaring for the next 5-7 years.
