Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay from Australia opens with a musty oak and green apple bouquet with hints of honey. The flavor profile is a tasty mild Bosc pear with notes of gentle oak and honey. I also detected hints of minerality. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Chard is very food friendly and would pair well with chicken francese. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: A crisp Chardonnay with fresh fruit characters and soft oak that will allow some maturation in bottle. The color is medium yellow with touches of light green. The aroma is emphasized by melon and fresh citrus fruits with hints of nuttiness and biscuit notes from aging the yeast lees in French oak. A finely layered palate with harmonious and sensuous flavors of melons and grapefruit. The subtle oak enhances the varietal flavors without overpowering them and leads to a silky soft finish.
