Wine Review: This deep ruby colored Cabernet based blend opens with a toasted coconut and blackberry bouquet with hints of black currant and cedar. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. We also found it to be balanced and juicy. This flavor profile is toasted coconut, blackberry, and green tea blend with hints of nutmeg, black cherry, and cocoa powder. The finish is dry with medium tannins and moderate length. The Panel would pair this Cab based blend with lamb stew or a lamb burger. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Gleaming crimson, dark core. Spices waft – clove, sage and turmeric are in immediate suspension. Conversation diverts to cold coffee grounds, raw coconut kernel and jasmine tea. Oak provides a platform for these two varietal blending companions, a springboard for the blackberry and quince. Medium-bodied: as intended. Sweet licorice, brimming with potent aniseed forms the flavor backbone and contributes to the smooth texture. Radiating from this backbone is pepper-rubbed pastrami, cocoa dusting, semi-dried dates and freshly harvested persimmons.
