Wine Review: This medium purple colored Petit Verdot opens with a black plum and violet bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, smooth and savory. The flavor profile is a graphite and black plum blend with notes of bacon. I also detected some hints of black pepper and black tea mixed in. The finish is dry and flavors and managed dusty tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this very good Petit Verdot with steak fajitas. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: In a winemaker's quiver, Petit Verdot is the proverbial arrow that provides inky color and profound flavor to a blend. As the star, Petit Verdot’s remarkable qualities are put on display. Complex, deep aromas of mulberry and mushroom are supported by rich wild berry flavors. The palate is spicy, dark and brooding, yielding a compelling companion to your next meal.
