Wine Review: This wine was one of the best Cab Francs that I tried on my recent trip to California. It is very dark purple colored with a pleasant boysenberry jam like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, well balanced, very smooth, and silky. The flavor profile is a very tasty blueberry. The finish is rather dry and its building tannins last for quite sometime. Pair this gem with a thick cut of prime rib and enjoy. Cheers - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The 2006 Cabernet Franc is vivid magenta with rose hues in the glass. Aromas of plum, red currant, toasty vanilla, and white pepper awaken the nose. Elegant and well-structured with bright flavors of black cherry, toast, coffee, and spice on the mid-palate followed by a soft, supple finish.
