Wine Review: This dark red colored Cabernet Franc from Peju opens with a red raspberry bouquet with hints of violet and red cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, slightly acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a red plum and oak blend with notes of cinnamon and minerality. We also detected hints of strawberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger and last for quite a while. This Cab Franc was well received by our mini-tasting group. They suggested pairing it with lamb with rosemary. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Rich and juicy, our 2014 Cabernet Franc offers aromas of ripe blueberry, raspberry, current and cranberry with complementing subtleties of juniper and sweet cigar box. Thoroughly delicious and wonderfully balanced on the palate with juicy cherry, blackberry and violet flavors, this wine is bright and round with well-integrated, mouth-filling tannins. Supple and elegant, this wine is brilliant now and will continue to mature for the next 5- 7 years.
