Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Napa Valley Cabernet from Peju opens with a mild black currant and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and very dry. The flavor profile is ripe Bing cherry and mild oak blend with a hint of menthol mixed in. The finish is rather dry and its very sticky oak tannins linger for quite some time. In our estimation, this Cab will get even better with time as it evolves. In the meantime, it needs fat. I would serve it with pot roast in the near term. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: On the nose, a medley of summer berries, bright cherry, cocoa powder and hints of caramel and butterscotch. On the palate, a beautiful balance of richness and luminosity with flavors of boysenberry, Bing cherry, nutmeg and toffee that lead into a round, memorable finish.
