Wine Review: This bright ruby colored Zin opens with a very attractive boysenberry and red currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced with a dry mouthfeel. The flavor profile is an oak infused black cherry with notes of earth and black pepper. The tannins are very dry and substantial. This Zin still needs a bit of time in the cellar. However, if you can't resist, serve it with a ribeye drenched with butter and black peppercorns. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Dark magenta and garnet in color. On the nose, floral notes with ripe cassis and bright blackberry jam. The palate yields hints of rose petal, rhubarb pie, leather and vanilla that give way to a round, spicy mouthfeel. A backbone of big, bold tannins give this wine a long, silky finish.
