Wine Review: Dark ruby with medium opacity, this Cabernet Sauvignon from the Dry Creek Valley starts with inviting aromas of freshly turned loam, eucalyptus, wintergreen and almond. The flavor profile is a core of spicy black currant with edges of Dalmatia fig and a hint of blueberry. The wine is medium-plus in body, well-structured and complex with a tingly peppercorn finish. It paired very well with beef bourguignon and could be a solo sipper with another year or two of cellaring. – Jeoff
Winemaker Notes: Blackberry and plum aromas with notes of dry green herbs and pepper rounding out the nose. Berry flavors combine with toasty oak and hints of thyme and oregano, typical of this vineyard's personality. The long finish with lasting fruit is simply elegant. Good acidity and medium tannins lead to great aging potential. Obviously, this wine has no connection to a world famous British Special Agent. It’s simply the name of a vineyard…007, Block 007.
