Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Pedroncelli has a lot of character. It opens with a mulberry and black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a mineral infused plum with notes of oak. We also detected hints of double espresso and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins fade away nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this very good Zin with a Colorado lamb chop or thin sliced beef brisket. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: The deep purple of this wine shows the concentration of the vintage. Aromas of ripe berries mingle with hints of black pepper, cinnamon and toasty oak. Rich flavors of blackberry, plums, mocha, touch of vanilla and dark chocolate. Spice-loaded with black pepper, clove and cinnamon this is a rich and full bodied Zinfandel with a sweet lingering finish and well balanced between fruit and tannins.
