Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Pedroncelli is a good value. It opens with a new leather and fig bouquet with hints of prune, dried cherry and eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and slightly acidic. The flavor profile is a cedar plank influenced smoked beef stick with notes of espresso. We also detected hints of plum, cranberry and balsamic. The finish is dry and its flavors linger. The Panel thought this reminded them of a South African red, so they would pair it with Jiko’s wild boar or burnt ends. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Purple and dense in the glass. Our Petite Sirah offers rich aromas of ripe plum, vanilla and toasty oak. It shows very deep and complex flavors of blackberries, black pepper spice and dark chocolate that are highlighted by mocha notes. Full bodied, there is nothing petite about this wine, and it is well structured with firm tannins and a long finish. It has the structure to age well over many years. Decant if desired.
