Wine Review: The ruby colored Gamey from Pax opens with a red raspberry and light pomegranate bouquet with hints of green tea and lavender. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is red currant and mild black tea blend with notes of light pomegranate and clove. We also detected some hints of strawberry in the after taste. The finish is dry, and its dusty tannins stick around for quite some time. We would pair this Gamay with an authentic New Orleans gumbo or with a charcuterie platter. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: This is a blend of two Sonoma Coast and one Sonoma County Gamay sites. Very floral, with exotic aromas of white and purple flowers, spiced fruit, vine-ripe summer fruits and baked fruit pies. Blackberry and blueberry flavors round out the otherwise spice-filled medium bodied red wine that is tempered by the black pepper, spice, and zest. Very Gamay and very fresh. Everyone always says Gamay is perfect for Thanksgiving and well that probably is true, but Gamay is kinda perfect with just about everything I have tried it with, so there is that.
