Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah from Pax opens with a mulberry and acai berry bouquet with hints of cola. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, and savory. The flavor profile is a red plum and red currant blend with notes of tobacco and saline. I also detected hints of mild black tea and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its mild dusty fine tannins and flavors drift away nicely. This Syrah would pair well with fork tender short ribs. Enjoy - Ken

Medium bodied and loaded with tobacco, deep blue fruit, spicy mint, and exotic flowers, we believe this wine is ready for immediate consumption upon release. Unmistakably Syrah, but hard to pin down as being from California, we think this wine is dangerously drinkable and deserves to be shared with anyone who claims to be a true Syrah fanatic.
