Wine Review: This slightly cloudy and ruby colored Pinot Noir opens with a black cherry and mild oak bouquet with hints of prune and vanilla. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium acidity. It is also balanced, yet chewy and juicy. The flavor profile is black raspberry, red cherry, and oak blend with notes of spiced red plum. We also detected hints of cinnamon and allspice. The finish is dry, and its sticky tannins linger and last for quite some time. The Panel would pair this Cab lovers Pinot with several dishes. They included pan roasted duck breast, peach glazed pork tenderloin, prime rib with Yorkshire pudding, chicken Marbella or Epoisses cheese. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Our estates play a leading role in the making of this wine with fruit selected across the appellation for its purity, richness, and elegance. Translucent garnet, the 2019 vintage entices with blood orange, boysenberry, and fresh violets. The voluptuous texture fuses with layered notes of bergamot, wild cherry, crushed pomegranate seeds, and hints of sage. As it moves across the palate both acid and plush tannins are seamlessly integrated, accentuated by a red clay minerality that readily captures our terroir and adds freshness to the gorgeous finish.
