Wine Review: This good value Sauvignon Blanc from France is white gold colored and opens with a fragrant grapefruit pith, lime zest, and iced tea bouquet with hints fresh cut grass. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and clean. The flavor profile is an iced tea and lime blend with notes of white grapefruit and asparagus. I also detected some hints of stony minerality and a touch of passionfruit in the after taste. The finish is dry and refreshing. I would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with a hot day and a beach. Serve slightly chilled. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Intense grapefruit, lemon juice and gooseberry on the nose. Racy and elegant mouth with a salty texture. Long and aromatic finish. Ideal for appetizers, this Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect wine to open your palate, serving as a great match for soft cheeses – particularly goat cheese which is a specialty of The Loire region – summertime salads, seafood, and even white meats.
