Wine Review: This pale straw-colored Sauvignon Blanc is a good value. It opens with a cat pee and yellow grapefruit bouquet with a hint of passionfruit. This wine benefits from a few extra swirls. We also detected some aromas of pear, honeysuckle and apricot mixed in. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic, round, and a touch flabby. The flavor profile is a tart yellow grapefruit and green apple blend with notes of lime and chalky minerality. We also detected some hints of lime, gooseberry and white pepper. The finish is dry and refreshing. The Panel would pair this Sauvignon Blanc with a beach. With food, we would have it with Rhode Island clam fritters or seafood tower. Enjoy – KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Fresh grapefruit, honeysuckle and acacia flowers on the nose. Starts juicy on the mouth followed by a silky touch. Aromatic finish with herbal and almond notes. Ideal for appetizers, this Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect wine to open your palate, serving as a great match for soft cheeses – particularly goat cheese which is a specialty of The Loire region.
