Wine Review: This pale straw colored Sauvignon Blanc is a very good value. It opens with a very fragrant yellow grapefruit bouquet with a hint of lime and peach pit in the distant background. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, slightly acidic and does not have any hard edges. I also found it to be mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a tasty tart yellow grapefruit with notes mild minerality, apricot, light lime and a hint of basil. The finish is dry and its flavors and acidity fade away nicely. Our mini-tasting group really liked it. They felt it was made for seafood. We would pair it with swordfish kabobs. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: Exotic fruits and peach aromatics lead to a bright yet powerful palate that is fruit forward with balanced acidity and a seamless finish. Ideal for appetizers, this Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect wine to open your palate, serving as a great match for soft cheeses—particularly goat cheese which is a specialty of the Loire region—summertime salads, shellfish and seafood.
