Wine Review: This opaque and deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Patrimony opens with a gentle blackberry and tobacco leaf bouquet with hints of violet, black cherry, black pepper, and red licorice. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, silky smooth, seamless, and refined. The flavor profile is delicious blend of graphite and black currant with notes of blueberry, mocha, and oak. We also detected hints of black pepper, black cherry, and a touch of black tea. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and polished tannins build-up and last for a very longtime. The Tasting Panel would decant this Cab for a very longtime before pairing it with a porterhouse steak or with a grilled lamb skewers with a blackberry sauce. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: Deep garnet in color, this wine presents alluring aromas of red currant, cherry preserve, plum, fresh tobacco leaf and star anise with undercurrents of lavender, sagebrush and mineral. The palate is extravagantly layered with deep flavors of cherry, blueberry, baking spice, smoked meat and salted dark chocolate. An impeccable mouthfeel displays balanced tannins, fine acidity, and perfectly integrated oak, all leading to an enduring and triumphant finish.
