Wine Review: This deep purple colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Patrimony is outstanding! It opens with blackberry and cassis bouquet with hints of menthol, cedar, and pipe tobacco. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is well-balanced, smooth, silky, and refined. The flavor profile is a delicious blackberry and fine stone dust blend with notes of blueberry and cassis. We also detected hints of black tea and dark chocolate. The finish is dry, and its fine-grained tannins build-up nicely and then last for a very long time. The Tasting Panel would pair this powerful, yet graceful Cab with a porterhouse steak and a wonderful sunset. Enjoy - KWGTP
Winemaker Notes: This vintage is the epitome of a terroir-driven wine that has immense power without sacrificing any elegance. The wine explodes out of the glass with boysenberry fruit, crème de cassis, cedar, cigars, crushed stone, and lead pencil accompanied by a perfume of violets. Deep and full-bodied, rich with astonishing texture, it manages to stay fresh and balanced throughout with a finish that does not stop.
