Wine Review: This robust Italian red blend is a brilliant clear red color in the glass. Its bold aromas include black plum, cracked black pepper, tar, cranberry and baking spice. On the palate, it is concentrated and medium bodied with medium plus acidity. There are flavors of juicy black cherry, flint, dark chocolate, and black pepper along with some notes of tart red plum and green herbs. The round dry tannins are well-managed and moderate on the finish. Serve this rustic Italian red blend with a large serving of beef lasagna and garlic bread. – Mark
