Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a cranberry, pomegranate, and blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with nicely integrated medium acidity. The mouthfeel is a round. The flavor profile is a gentle graphite and black plum blend with notes of mild blackberry. I also detected hints of Chinese five spice and craisin in the after taste. The finish is dry and its mild dusty tannins and fruit flavors drift away nicely. This Cab would pair well with a Thanksgiving turkey and sausage stuffing sandwich with cranberry sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This complex, yet well-balanced wine presents an elegant style with hints of boysenberry and raspberry fruit, and vanilla, spice, and chocolate shadings too. This wine is very sweet, with consistent tannins, and a lengthy, focused finish. An ideal match for red meats (especially lamb) and fine French cheeses.
