Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Cabernet Sauvignon based wine from Paraduxx is impressive. It opens with a blackberry and espresso bouquet with hints of cassis and mint. On the palate, this wine is full bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is nicely balanced, very smooth and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a tasty blueberry and ripe Bing cherry blend with notes of cedar and black licorice. I also detected hints of espresso, black plum, and stone dust. The finish is dry, and its flavors and fine-grained tannins are well managed and nicely sustained. I would pair this gem with a filet mignon at your favorite steakhouse. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon from the acclaimed Red Hen Vineyard along with Sangiovese from the famed Stagecoach Vineyard. This stunning wine begins with mesmerizing aromas of black currant, blueberry, cassis, and fig. As it evolves in the glass, notes of cinnamon, clove and cracked pepper emerge, as well as more savory hints of dusty red brick, dried herbs, and leather. The dark berry layers are echoed on the palate where they mingle with flavors of black cherry, leather, and fresh-tilled earth, with supple, fine-grained tannins carrying the wine to a rich, robust finish.
