Wine Review: This deep purple colored wine opens with a black currant and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and savory. The flavor profile is a graphite influenced black currant and black plum blend with notes of black tea and oak. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity and moderate tannins linger for a while. I would decant this wine is the near term as it opens up after being open for a while. It paired nicely with my grilled steak tips. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Beautifully lush and expansive, this wine begins with radiant red berry aromas that leap from the glass. As it evolves, notes of sweet hay, dried flowers, earth and graham crackers add depth and intrigue. On the palate, rich, supple tannins and creamy hints of oak underscore the generous cherry, cassis and cream soda flavors, carrying the wine to a long silky finish.
