Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored wine from Paraduxx is drinking well now. It opens with a pomegranate and red plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a cherry liquor and blueberry blend with hints of vanilla coke. I also detected hints of boysenberry jam. The finish is dry and fruit flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine would pair well with pan-fried venison with sloe gin and plum sauce. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: The nose offers enticing layers of spicy brambleberry, as well as hints of ripe blackberry and oak-inspired vanilla cream. Ripe red-fruited raspberry notes dominate the palate of this lovely blend, underscored by deeper layers of blueberry and spice. Beautifully balanced tannins carry the flavors through to a long, satisfying finish.
