Wine Review: This dark ruby and slightly opaque colored Zinfandel focused blend opens with a boysenberry bouquet with a hint of black cherry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a ripe blackberry and black cherry blend with notes of oak and black pepper. I also detected some black licorice in the background. The finish is dry and its tingly acidity and moderate tannins show up and last for quite a while. I would pair this fruit bomb with a messy rack of ribs. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: The aromas are inviting and complex, with bright ripe raspberry and blackberry notes, deeper elements of molasses, nutmeg and caramel, and hints of vanilla, pepper and dried sage. On the palate, this wine is rich and mouthcoating with abundant blackberry jam, bramble and holiday spice flavors. The finish is long and lingering with subtle notes of vanilla, dried tobacco leaf, tarragon and chocolate-covered cherries
