Wine Review: This classy Nebbiolo from Northern Italy is a clear, medium red colored, and displays a complex bouquet including violets, rose petals, talcum, mandarin orange, leather, and wild mushrooms with a touch of maraschino cherry. On the palate, it is well-balanced, smooth, fresh, medium bodied, moderately acidic, and nicely structured. There are flavors of red currant, rhubarb, and oak. There are also some notes of strawberry and blackberry along with an earthy hint. The finish is dry and features dusty tannins and good length. Serve with braised lamb shanks. - Mark
Winemaker Notes: Ripe red cherries and berries on the nose with hints of mushrooms and salt licorice. Medium-to full-bodied with a very fine, lightly firm tannin framework.
