Wine Review: This red cherry colored Nebbiolo from Paolo Manzone opens with a leather and red licorice bouquet with hints of cranberry and pomegranate. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with integrated medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, gentle, mouthwatering, and very approachable for a Barolo. The flavor profile is slightly tart red cherry and tobacco blend with notes of craisin and red plum. We also detected hints of oak and mushroom. The finish is dry, and its flavors, acidity, and moderate dusty tannins fade away nicely. The Tasting Panel would pair this food friendly Barolo with a mushroom risotto, stuffed veal breast, or with Stuart's beef wellington. Enjoy - KWGTP
