Wine Review: This pitch black colored Petite Sirah based blend opens with a black cherry and blueberry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and nicely coats your mouth. The flavor profile is a mineral infused stewed plum and mild blackberry blend with notes oak and hints of black olive and black coffee. The finish is dry and it big tannins are well-managed and show very nice length. I would pair this wine with sharp cheese by the fireplace. Enjoy – Ken
Winemaker Notes: Violet ink in the glass, a nose of black plums, cassis, and cacao engage. The robust entry consists of a progressing palate of blackberry and boysenberry compote, a reduction of dark plum and ripe figs, and pure Amarena cherry. Flashes of vanilla and traces of minerality evolve into chalky tannins and a smooth lingering finish.
