Wine Review: Don't you love when you pull a wine out of the cellar and it captures the attention of everyone at the table? This wine from Orin Swift just did that recently at a dinner I attended. This wine is opaque and very dark purple colored. Its nose is a black cherry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, savory and fruit forward. The flavor profile is blackberry with notes of blueberry and black cherry mixed in. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are slight, but its fruit continues to hang around for quite sometime. The group loved this wine with out beef tenderloin based meal. Enjoy - Ken
Winemaker Notes: This is our first release of a true Bordeaux style blend.
