Wine Review: This clear, midnight purple colored Zinfandel from Once and Future opens with a black licorice, blackberry, and strawberry bouquet with hints of cinnamon and leather. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, perky, vibrant, and fresh. The flavor profile is red plum and cedar blend with notes of tart pomegranate and cinnamon. We also detected hints of red raspberry and oak. The finish is dry, and with moderate integrated tannins that are nicely sustained. The Tasting Panel would then pair this Zin with a charcuterie tray or with a grilled venison steak. Enjoy – KWGTP
