Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Zinfandel from Once and Future opens with a blackberry and boysenberry bouquet with hints of black cherry, clove, and oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round and bright. The flavor profile is red plum and stony minerality blend with notes of black tea and light oak. We also detected hints of boysenberry, black cherry, and spice. The finish is dry, and polished light tannins drift away nicely. The Tasting Panel would decant this Zin in the near term and then pair it with a grilled Colorado lamb chop. Enjoy – KWGTP
