Wine Review: This very dark garnet colored Zinfandel from Once and Future opens with a mochaccino and black cherry bouquet with hints of red raspberry and lingonberry. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied with medium plus acidity. The mouthfeel is balanced, round, very smooth, and fresh. The flavor profile is boysenberry, stony minerality, and black cherry blend with notes of mild black tea and black plum. We also detected hints of black licorice, cassis, dried herbs, mocha, and light oak. It's pretty complex! The finish is dry, and its refined moderate tannins are very nicely extended. The Tasting Panel would then pair this Zin with Grandma's sausage lasagna. Enjoy - KWGTP
